Discovery Walk is a series of plaques honouring the achievements of scientists, innovators and social reformers in Dundee.
There are currently fifteen plaques situated in the pavement of Slessor Gardens, opposite the V & A Museum.
The first ten plaques were installed in April 2016 and a further five were installed in April 2018. With detailed illustrations from local artist Suzanne Scott (Whimsical Lush), Discovery Walk is an ambitious demonstration of the bronze casting process while explaining why the city of Dundee is truly "One City with Many Discoveries".
Designed by Ellen Brown and located on Stannergate Cycle Path, The Feather Sculpture was commissioned by RSPB Scotland to celebrate the reintroduction of the Sea Eagle into Scotland.
Desperate Dan, hero of DC Thomson's ‘The Dandy' comics, is immortalised in Dundee, his place of ‘birth'.The grizzly-faced strong man is cast in an 8-ft tall bronze statue in the city centre alongside his ‘Dawg'.
