We're all about using culture and creativity to spark social and economic change, and we're proud to be the UK's first and only UNESCO City of Design, a title we've held since 2014.

One of 43 Global UNESCO Cities of Design, Dundee's rich design history, buzzing contemporary scene, and commitment to improving the city through design are at the heart of this honour.

Impressive contributions include beloved comics like Beano and Dandy, groundbreaking medical research, the historic jute industry, and cutting-edge video games.

Our biannual Dundee Design Festival, showcases the talents of local and national designers, boosting the profile of design, and building a robust creative community. And of course, our city proudly hosts the V&A Dundee, a museum dedicated exclusively to design.
