Cycle in the city

Get on your bike

We love the Green Circular, a chill 26-mile route that circles Dundee, passing through parklands, scenic riverfronts, and alongside the Dighty Burn. You’ll spot plenty of wildlife in the woodlands, along the river, and in coastal habitats. There’s a cycle map available, so you can plan shorter loops and enjoy the ride at your own pace
For those craving a bit more of an adventure, there are loads of mountain bike trails around the city with steps, drops, jumps, tight corners and rock obstacles.

You can also use our cycle routes to explore neighbouring towns and villages. Cycle along the east coast from Dundee to Arbroath, passing the famous Carnoustie Golf Course. Or, head in the opposite direction on the Dundee to Perth 'Salmon Run'. Starting at the Tay Bridge, this route takes you through the sights of Dundee before leading you along the riverside to Kinnoull Hill in Perth.

Don’t have your own bike? Fear not, it’s really easy to rent a bike from one of our Cyclehubs. There are also plenty of beginner-friendly routes to help you get comfortable on two wheels.
