Desperate Dan

Desperate Dan, hero of DC Thomson's The Dandy comics, is immortalised in Dundee, his place of ‘birth' with this larger-than-life statue! The grizzly-faced strong man is cast in an 8-ft tall bronze statue in the city centre alongside his pet pooch, ‘Dawg'.

Also on the High Street is the statue of the mischievous Minnie the Minx, from Beano fame, once labelled 'The World's Wildest Tomboy'.
